Job Description
Orlando Health is seeking full-time BC/BE Medical Oncology/Hematology attending physicians for our Orlando Health Cancer Institute.
Locations:
- Orlando Health Dr. Phillips Hospital (Orlando, Florida)
- Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital (Lake Mary, Florida)
Candidate responsibilities include inpatient and consultation services, outpatient clinics, clinical research, and chemo supervision. Applicant responsibilities will include managing malignant cancers and hematology diagnoses.
Ideal candidates are leaders in their field. Have a track record of education and experience with multi-disciplinary care.
Role Requirements:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology
- Successful completion of an ACGME/AOA-accredited training program(s)
- Unrestricted FL medical license (or ability to obtain one) and DEA

The Orlando Health Cancer Institute has an established clinical research program, a successful medical oncology/hematology fellowship program, and robust medical oncology, surgical oncology, and radiation oncology departments. We also have a large integrative medicine department, which includes a cancer support community and a medical genetics team. The Cancer Institute includes divisions of surgical, medical, and radiation oncology, with a sub-specialized focus on cancer care, serving patients with our tertiary center downtown and services at our 4 regional cancer institutes throughout central Florida. The cancer institute provided care to 11,000 new patients and 90,000 follow-up visits last year.

About Orlando Health Cancer Institute
One of the largest cancer care providers in Florida, Orlando Health Cancer Institute is guided by its vision “to be a national leader by providing exceptional cancer care and a personalized experience.” The realization of that vision includes a focus on an expanding footprint, enhanced services and treatments, advancements in technology, and an ever-growing team of interdisciplinary cancer experts specializing in more than 200 types of cancer. Through a robust research program, the institute also supports physician involvement in numerous research studies and clinical trials that gives patients access to innovative diagnosis, treatment and symptom management options.
While the institute’s comprehensive care includes an expert team of medical professionals, advanced technology and leading-edge research, we recognize there is more to cancer care. To treat the whole person — body, mind and spirit — the institute offers supportive and palliative care, cancer genetic counseling and high-risk care, and complementary services through various wellness programs, integrative medicine and a Cancer Support Community.
