Job Summary:

Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada is searching for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification, to join a growing burn and wound surgery practice of 7 APPs and 2 Attending Burn/Wound Surgeons. The ideal candidate will provide care to patients in the clinic, hospital, and other medical environment following established clinical standards and practices. They will work with the entire burn/wound team to ensure the delivery of high quality and efficient health care. This position will require rotating call, including weekend and holiday coverage.

Responsibilities
  • Patient management in the inpatient hospital, outpatient clinic, and operating room
  • Team approach and collaborative environment
  • Perform patient history and physicals
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests/imaging and provide diagnosis
  • Perform minor surgical procedures
  • 1st or 2nd assist during surgery, as required by supervising physician and/or training
  • Instruct and counsel patients on treatment plans
  • Preoperative and postoperative care
  • Medication prescribing 
 
Qualified Candidates:
·        Nevada licensed or ability to be licensed (including NV Osteopathic board licensure)
·        Possession of an active National Certification from an accrediting board (IE: NCCPA, American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Certification – ANCC, AANP)
·        Registered Nurse First Assist certification for any NP applying
