Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Hospitalist
Location: Metropolis, Illinois

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team of hospitalists and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality medical care.
Job Description: As an APP Hospitalist at Massac Memorial Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive medical care to our patients. Working under the supervision of our physician hospitalists, you will have the opportunity to manage patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Details:
- Patient Load: Average of 4 patients per day
- Physician Tele-Oversight: Collaborative oversight from physician hospitalists
- EMR: Meditech Expansion
- Hospital Capacity: 25 beds, with no ICU
- Special Program: Swing bed program available
- Shifts: 24-hour shifts (rounding plus call)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with physician hospitalists.
- Monitor patient progress, manage acute and chronic conditions, and coordinate care transitions as needed.
- Perform procedures within scope of practice, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- FNP/ PA Certification Required
- Active, unrestricted license to practice in Illinois
- DEA/ CSL- Required
- ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA- Required
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
