TeamHealth has partnered with Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana, to provide top-notch critical care. We are looking for intensivists for this fully equipped 24-bed ICU at this Level 2 trauma center, academic hospital and referral center for the central Louisiana region. Rapides Regional Medical Center is a Level II trauma center and teaching hospital with 325 beds and a wide array of services including general medicine, general surgery, cardiovascular surgery, bypass surgery, cardiac rehabilitation, neurology, neurosurgery, intensive care and telemetry, oncology services, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedic services, physical therapy, skilled nursing services, respiratory therapy, lithotripsy and various outpatient services. The medical staff includes physicians in more than 30 medical specialties and a family medicine residency program. TeamHealth staffs the ICU, the ED and the hospitalist programs at this facility.

- Critical care physicians work a 7-on, 7-off schedule including days and nights
- 6 critical care physicians working 3 per week
- Closed ICU with 24/7 intensivist coverage
- CC physicians see about 12-15 pts per day
