Nurse Manager - Medical Surgical
Position Name: RN Manager Medical Surgical
Shifts: No Weekends
Our client is a 590+ bed level 1 trauma center. The facility offers an array of medical and specialty care services care areas including a Chest Pain Center, Level I Trauma Center, Breast Care Center, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programs, and Primary Stroke Center.

Unit Details
- Medical Surgical 49 Beds Unit (split into two units); Intermediate Care level, General, urology, vascular post-surgical patients. Tele Monitoring and behavioral health care. 1:5 Nurse to Patient Ratio; Collaborative support with PCTs, LPNs, Charge Nurses
- Level I Trauma Center
- 75 full time direct reports
- Reports to the Director of Medical Surgical
Job Summary
The nursing leader is responsible for evaluating patient care and safety, coordinating with other departments, managing resources efficiently, and ensuring quality care through performance improvement initiatives. In addition, they support the facility's mission and vision, while collaborating with physicians to meet the needs of patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Min. 3 yrs of charge/supervisor experience and 2 yrs staff nurse hospital exp
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Active state of MO RN license, or compact
- BLS & ACLS
