NP/PA Nephrology opening in Oregon
Located in Corvallis, OR
Full-Time & Permanent
Seeking a certified NP or PA to join Nephrology practice.
- Seeking an APC to be part of a five-clinician team (when fully staffed)
- The goal is to build a team with modern kidney care therapy options that seeks to help address patient needs at the earliest stages of kidney disease, increase patients quality of life and extend kidney function.
- Assist physicians with 15 20 patients daily with outpatient clinic visits, hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis visits.
- Follow up with patients with CKD or other kidney issues, end-stage renal disease (ESRD), acute kidney injury (AKI), anemia, and CKD-related bone mineral disorders.
- Willingness to travel to outreach clinics and satellite dialysis units 1-3x a week
- Work in collaboration with physicians and other health professionals.
- Serve as a clinical resource, utilizing critical thinking skills to act as an interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate.
- Shift varies as clinic is held during regular clinic hours (8am 5pm). Dialysis rounds are held Monday through Friday and can vary based on workload but can be within hours of 7 am and 6 pm.
Requirement:
- ACLS and CPR certified
- Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented
- Competency with hemodialysis therapy is desired but will train the right candidate. Interest in preventative/early kidney disease stage intervention a plus
- Eligibility to work in the United States
