**Neurosurgery NP Opening in Montclair, NJ - 20 mi from NYC**
-No Call/No Weekends.
-Permanent - Full Time.
**Job Description**
-A well-established neurosurgery practice located in Montclair, NJ- 20 mi from NYC, is searching for an EXPERIENCED Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a PRN position starting at 10-15 hrs. a week.
-Enjoy working in the Inpatient-Only setting.
-Schedule: 7am-5pm (flexible)
-Patient load: 5-10/day
-Team of 12 surgeons (work w/ 5-7/day)
-Hospital & ED consultations and pre-surgery assistance (prep patients, do H&Ps, enter pre-orders, etc.)
-Opportunity for first-assist based upon candidate interest/qualification
-Epic EMR
- 2-3 years of neurosurgery APP experience required
The ideal candidate will have a hardworking and energetic personality to keep up with this busy practice. Must have excellent communication skills for dealing with patients, their families, physicians and other healthcare providers. This position will involve working with as part of the Montclair Neuroscience Institute, a national leader in spinal surgery and will stress preoperative assessments, medical management before and after surgery, and postoperative care.
