**Anesthesiology Opening in Syracuse, NY**
Seeking general anesthesiologists.
* Join a supportive team and collegial working environment.
* Practitioners are encouraged to practice to their skillset and are not locked into a specific service line.
* Case Mix: Cardiac, major vascular, orthopedics, obstetrics, neurosurgery, general surgery, urology, and gynecology. Minimal pediatric- mainly at ASC. No transplants. No trauma.
* 1 in-house Anesthesiologist and 1 beeper-call as backup.
* Regional non-profit healthcare system based in Syracuse, NY. Hospital offers primary, specialty, and home care, and collaboration with community partners.
**Responsibilities**
* Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
* Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
* Pre-anesthesia assessment
* Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
* Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
* Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
* Performance of clinical intervention as needed
**Requirements**
* M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
* ECFMG and FLEX
* Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
* Currently licensed as a physician
**Compensation Details**
* General Call-taking Anesthesiologist: $525K with 8 weeks of PTO
* Cardiac Anesthesiologist: Base of $525k plus $25k specialty stipend
* Per-Diem Anesthesiologist: $250/hour
* 1099 Anesthesiologist: $275/hour
