**General Surgery Opening in Decorah, IA**
Rochester, MN 70m; Minneapolis, MN 150m
Seeking a General Surgeon to join and established and collegial practice.
* Full-time
* Bread and butter General Surgery and endoscopy practice
* Call is currently 1:2, home call; working towards 1:3 call model
* Common EPIC EMR
* Comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary guarantee
* Medical Center has developed plans to invest approximately $48 million over the next 3 years in renovations and new construction for a medical office building, obstetrical department, and new robotics capable operating rooms
**Position Details**
* Successful candidates should possess excellent clinical skills.
* You may expect a busy practice in a physician-led, financially stable organization committed to both high quality care and patient satisfaction.
* Qualified skills in areas of general surgery and training and/or willingness to be trained in performing cesarean sections with consideration given to those who may have additionally trained in trauma surgery, critical care, or advanced laparoscopic techniques.
* Fellowship training is not required to apply.
* General surgeon will be responsible for providing clinic-based consultations and surgical procedures in the hospital.
* The patient population may involve some pediatrics, but the majority of patients will be age 16 and up.
Medical Center is an integrated multi-specialty practice with 26 primary care and specialty care physicians, 3 psychologists, and 17 PAs/NPs living and working in our community. Medical Center is a health care hub for the region, and enables patients in the region to receive high-quality primary and specialty care close to home.
