**Hematology/Oncology openings in Wilmington, NC - H1b eligible**
Multidisciplinary Cancer Center located in beautiful coastal North Carolina seeks to add two physicians to its group. Seeking a BC/BE, highly motivated hematologist/oncologist to join our predominantly outpatient, hospital-based practice in Wilmington, North Carolina. The group is based at a state-of-the-art regional cancer center that was recently renovated in 2017 to include 48 infusion bays, multidisciplinary clinic space, and support services. An additional community-based office is located in neighboring Brunswick County and will be expanding to a third location nearby.
The cancer institute provides multidisciplinary cancer care in collaboration with radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, surgical oncology, advanced radiology, and pathology. This collaboration allows the medical hematology and oncology team to provide the highest level of care to all patients. Tumor board collaboration, multidisciplinary clinics, access to clinical trials, advanced hospice and palliative care and resident teaching opportunities allow many opportunities for clinicians to function at a high level of involvement and job satisfaction.
The team currently consists of eleven hematologists and medical oncologists and four advanced practice providers with plans to add two more physicians and two more APPs within the next 12 to 18 months. A candidate with an interest in disease sub specialization and clinical trials is highly desired. Call is 1 in 11 and evenly distributed. This opportunity provides a competitive entrance salary with advancement in 1 year, comprehensive healthcare coverage, relocation expenses, annual physician allowance for CME and competitive vacation time.
