Locum Psychiatry Opening in Mexia, TX - 86 miles to Dallas

Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday-Friday (8A-5P) No On-Call/Nor afterhours call required}
This position will allow tele-workdays to be 2-3 days during the week
Assignment: 3-month minimum
This medical center serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who need medical, habilitative or behavioral supports beyond whats available to them in the community. Our campus provides
care and staff supervision 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Job Description:
The Psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing, and treating psychiatric disorders, and performing psychiatric assessments, providing timely, and accurate charting of clinical encounters using our electronic medical records of the residents with intellectual disabilities.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must have good communication skills, organizing, and ability to present information.
Justification of medication use.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be licensed (unrestricted) as a medical doctor by the State of Texas and be Board
Certified or Board-eligible in Psychiatry in the State of Texas.
Must have a current unrestricted registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement
Agency (DEA).
Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI#).
Psychiatrists must be proficient in computer/electronics health records.
