Hospital, located in beautiful Northeast Oregon, is looking to add an OB/GYN physician to our staff. This provider would join our team of 3 fulltime physicians, 1 nurse practitioner and serve a local population of approximately 35,000 residents in beautiful rural Union County, Oregon.

Group is an independent 501(c)3 not-for profit health system that includes a community hospital and 13 primary and specialty clinics. As Union Countys largest private employer, more than 750 people comprise the team all dedicated to providing quality health care services to the region. Located in Northeast Oregon, La Grande is nestled within the mountain ranges that dominate our landscape Blue Mountains to the west and Eagle Caps to the southeast. These mountains surround the Grande Ronde Valley, the second largest enclosed valley in the world and home since 1907. Needless to say, we enjoy a diverse and rich outdoor lifestyle. With a four-season climate, Union County is home to many outdoor activities and sports year-round. Summer and spring offer opportunities for all styles of fishing; as well as kayaking and swimming, camping, bird watching, hiking, four-wheeling and trail-riding on mountain bike or horseback. The Mount Emily Recreation Area (MERA) is just two miles from La Grande, providing nearly 3,700 acres of year-round access to the Blue Mountains. In winter, MERA is popular spot for back-country skiing and snow-shoeing. Union County is home to Eastern Oregon University, founded in 1929, and also home to the OHSU School of Nursing on-campus program.
Group serves a base population of about 25,000 residents, while also providing care for many in the Eastern Oregon and Southeast Washington area. With an employed provider staff of 80, we continue to recruit world class professionals. We are seeking top-quality candidates to join our dedicated team and partner with us in meeting the healthcare needs of our region. Four of our 13 clinics are well-established, certified Primary Care Medical Homes, including the Elgin Clinic, which lies at the north end of our county; and the Union Clinic, which lies at the south end. In 2020 we opened an Urgent Care facility in Island City, right outside of the county seat of La Grande, where the remainder of our clinics are located.
