Position Description:
Pediatricians at Health System diagnose and treat pediatric diseases and injuries in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. Our work in the inpatient setting includes both newborns and pediatric patients.
The position includes:
- conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients
- performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- assessing patient status relative to hospital admissions and discharges
- prescribing medications and treatments
- attending C-sections
- consulting with colleagues on patient management and treatment plans
Our Pediatricians participate in 1:10 call which covers the emergency department, the nursery, and the level II special care nursery. Weekend call is divided into Friday evening/Sunday or Saturday and pediatric nurse phone triage is available on nights and weekends.
