**Inpatient Psychiatry Opening in Wilmington, NC**
Seeking an Inpatient-based Psychiatrist to provide services within the medical center and the Behavioral Health Hospital.
* This position is a 7 on/7 off schedule providing acute care in the Emergency Department.
* 52-bed psychiatric hospital.
* Behavioral Health Hospital provides inpatient psychiatric programs for adults.
* The staff is specially trained to assess and care for patients for depressions, adjustment disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychotic and personality disorders.
* There are 4 inpatient units that constitute 52 licensed beds.
* The care team consists of nine physicians and three mid-level providers.
* Call is 1:9 with support from telemedicine.
The ideal candidate for our team is a physician who can provide the highest quality diagnostic and treatment services delivered in a caring and efficient way. Our physicians serve as leaders of the clinical treatment team and work collaboratively with Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurses and Nurse Practitioners.
Being a Southern coastal town, Wilmington offers a variety of activities: beaches and water activities, fishing, nightlife, golf, tennis, biking and great restaurants. Our community offers many family oriented events, festivals and activities.
