Job Description

Palm Beach Health Network is expanding its Graduate Medical Education program!  We are seeking an experienced leader to serve as the Program Director for the new internal medicine residency program located at Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Florida.  Join a growing  academic learning and work environment affiliated with Florida Atlantic University College of Medicine. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Direct the inpatient training of residents along with the requirements of outpatient longitudinal, team-based, continuity experience in accordance with ACGME requirements.
  • Approximately 50% of the Program Director's time must be dedicated to administrative responsibilities for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.  The remaining time can be dedicated to clinical time, including rounding with the residents in the hospital. 
  •  
  • Delivering didactics, journal clubs, daily patient clinical rounds and grand rounds, as well as assisting residents in the development of scholarly activities consistent with the goals and objectives of the residency program. 

 Criteria include: 

  • Board Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM).
  •  
  • Three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience, or qualifications acceptable to the ACGME Review Committee.
  •  
  • Ongoing clinical activity required.
  •  
  • Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary, interprofessional team to create an educational environment that promotes high-quality care, patient safety and resident well-being. 
  •  
  • Must include current medical licensure in Florida or ability to obtain an active, unrestricted medical license in the State of Florida.
