Exciting opportunity! Envision Physician services is hiring an Emergency Medicine Lead Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center.
Plans are underway for the construction of a new, state-of-the-art Emergency Department!
Summary: The Site Lead APP facilitates employee communication at the site and performs various administrative support duties at the direction of the Medical Director and Regional APP Director.
Lead APP Responsibilities:
A. Site Related
- Act as a liaison between the APPs and physicians to discuss concerns, issues, APP requests, etc.
- Work with the physician leadership team/medical directors to determine staffing needs, shift times and shift details
- Disseminate information to the APPs as needed
- Arrange meetings with HR director, Medical Director or among the APPs when needed
- Attend department meetings
- Attend Regional or National APP leadership meetings
- Complete the schedule or assist the scheduler in monitoring time off and maintaining contracted hours and help ensure hours are submitted to payroll in an accurate and timely fashion- if no site scheduler
- Participate and help coordinate interviewing and hiring decisions
- Orientation of new hires
- Monitor the scope, practice, and workplace interactions of the APP
- Work with the APPs to resolve any internal issues
- Coordinate and complete performance reviews
- Work with Reimbursement Director and/or QA Director to educate APPs on billing and clinical improvements.
- Participate in APP disciplinary processes and corrective actions including CAPs
- Help create local guidelines and policies for the APP program
B. Envision Related
- APP projects as determined with the local physician leadership, hospital administration, APP Regional Director and/or Envision leadership
- Coordinate with the APP Regional Director about APP activities, issues, and operations
- Attend Envision APP Site Director meetings
- Consider attending additional meetings such as the Leader Market Collaborative, Envision Leadership Conference, etc.

- 50,000 annual ED volume
- 30 ED beds
- 6 Fast Track beds
- Dedicated X-ray, CAT scan and portable ultrasound
- EPIC EMR
- Scribe coverage
- Patient treatment areas that are outfitted with cardiac, stroke, ventilation, and other special care technologies
