Job Summary:
The Department of Gastroenterology at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner to support with inpatient GI consults and follow ups.Qualified Candidates:
- Develop protocols and plans of treatment under physician supervision
- Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
- Must be people-oriented and willing to learn
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Must have strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse patient population
- Expected to work with various providers on the medical staff averaging 15-20 IP consults a week
- Certified nurse practitioner with prescriptive authority required
- Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
- 3 plus years’ experience is preferred and work experience with patients in a hospital setting
