Locums Anesthesia Physician

We are seeking a skilled Locums Anesthesia Physician to provide coverage for our team in Ahoskie, NC. The successful candidate will join our dynamic anesthesia department, providing both inpatient and outpatient anesthesia services.

Ahoskie is a small town located in northeastern North Carolina. Situated in Hertford County, Ahoskie serves as a hub for the surrounding rural communities. The town's name is of Native American origin, believed to mean "waiting place" or "place of high hills."

Facility Details:

·         114-bed hospital with 2 main operating rooms, an Endo suite with 3 rooms, and a C-section OR.

·         Procedures performed include general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, pain management, OB/GYN, and pediatric dental.

·         Emergency Department with 15 beds, serving approximately 21,000 patients per year.

·         24-hour rotational shifts.

·         Average of 12-15 patients per day per Anesthesiologist.

·         Approximately 8 admissions per day and 6 admissions per night.

Requirements:

·         Medical degree and completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.

·         Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology.

·         Valid medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina.

·         ACLS and BLS certification.

·         Ability to provide backup support in the Emergency Room and ICU.
