Emergency Medicine Nocturnist Opening North Of Boston
A non-profit community hospital in northern Massachusetts is adding an Emergency Medicine Nocturnist physician due to patient demand.
About the opportunity:
- Join a team of 18 board-certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Providers
- 2 Emergency Medicine Physicians?scheduled 24/7
- Significant overlap of shifts?
- Varying shifts. Shifts are 8 or 9 hours
- Average?1.5-1.8?patients an hour
- No shortage of procedures (expected to be able to do all ER procedures)
- Anesthesia, Pedi Hospitalist, Hospitalist in-house?24/7
- Trauma surgery on call?24/7, expected to be at bedside in 30 minutes for critical trauma
- Other on-call specialties ? Orthopedics, neurosurgery, neurology, ENT, GI, Nephrology, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery
- Intensivist in house?7a-7p, Hospitalist covers ICU?from 7p-7a?but Intensivist in on call
- ED does not respond to hospital airways or codes
- FAST track option that sees ESI 3-5

- 189 bed non profit hospital with clinical affiliations with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
- Level 3 Trauma Center
- Stroke and STEMI center
- 70,000 annual visits
Compensation and benefits:
