Methodist Hospital Northeast is seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to fulfill PRN needs at Methodist Nacogdoches Freestanding ED in the Live Oak community of San Antonio, Texas.Qualified Candidates:
- Strong communication skills,
- Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- BC/BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained
- PALS certification

Methodist Hospital Northeast has expanded its emergency department with a new location, Methodist ER Nacogdoches. Methodist ER Nacogdoches is open 24/7 to provide emergency medical care for both adults and children. The emergency services team is fully trained and equipped to handle a variety of adult and pediatric conditions. If you need to be transferred to either Methodist Hospital Northeast or Methodist Children’s Hospital to receive more specialized care, there are no extra expenses involved.
As an extension of the emergency room at Methodist Hospital Northeast, this site features:
- Radiology, full-service laboratory and telemetry
- Specific on-site diagnostic equipment includes: 64-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, ultrasound and telemetry equipment
- Immediate intervention for serious emergencies where treatment time is critical with quick transfer capabilities to any Methodist Healthcare facility
- 24-hour monitoring and testing of patients, such as chest pain cases
- Use of a Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) to allow staff to electronically transmit any diagnostic image from the Methodist ER Nacogdoches to any Methodist credentialed physician’s office, specialist or any Methodist hospital emergency room for seamless follow-up

Located in the suburb of Live Oak, Northeast Methodist Hospital is a 153-bed facility serving the healthcare needs of the surrounding Randolph Metrocom community of northeast San Antonio. Conveniently located off of Interstate 35 and Judson Road (San Antonio to Austin corridor), Northeast Methodist Hospital has developed an array of services to meet the health care needs of the surrounding community for the past 20 years. Services include emergency care for adults and children, open heart surgery, cardiac catherization, general surgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation, gastroenterology, behavioral medicine and cancer care.
The hospital is one of the fastest growing cardiology programs in South Texas; an additional catherization lab and expanded CICU beds were recently added to keep up with the demands of cardiology patients.
There is a medical office building directly beside the campus and the Northeast Methodist Ambulatory Surgery Center is adjacent to the hospital.
