NNP - LEADERSHIP - DAY SHIFT ONLY Opportunity in Kansas City

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our team as the Well Baby Nursery (WBN) NNP Lead. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional clinical care while also stepping into a leadership position within the newborn nursery.

 

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • DAY SHIFTS ONLY
  • Serve as the primary caregiver for infants in the well-baby nursery.
  • Perform thorough physical assessments, review diagnostic tests, and develop differential diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with Neonatologists to develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain clear and concise patient care records.
  • Order medications and treatments independently.
  • Perform necessary procedures and incorporate evidence-based guidelines into patient care.
  • Prioritize work to ensure efficient patient flow and maintain high productivity.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Saint Luke’s Hospital Well Baby Nursery Site Lead, championing well-baby services.
  • Provide medical leadership in developing clinical guidelines, protocols, and policies.
  • Act as a liaison between Pediatrix Medical Group and SLH hospital leadership.
  • Support nursing and ancillary staff as an expert mentor.
  • Collaborate with SLH OB providers and participate in relevant meetings and educational activities.
