Job Description

The Vision Institute at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is seeking Ophthalmologists to join a dedicated team of professionals at the forefront of eye care to join our world class health system.  Must be BC/BE in Ophthalmology with the ability to obtain a PA license.


About the position:

  • Manage a diverse range of cases, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and more.
  • Actively participate in teaching and mentoring residents across hospitals, clinics, and operating rooms
  • The Comprehensive Eye Service serves as the hub of our community outreach missions. Realize your passion for serving the underserved as part of the Guerrilla Eye Service, Mission of Mercy and eyeVan initiatives.
  • Research opportunities: Collaborate on innovative projects focused on the science of the delivery of care.
  • Collaborative team committed to academic advancement
  • Join a group of 59 total physicians, including a division of 7 Comprehensive Ophthalmologists 14 Optometrists.
  • Practice locations include UPMC Vision Institute at the Mercy Pavilion, Oakland Campus, and satellite locations
  • Hours are Monday-Friday, 8-4:30 with one ½ day administrative session.

About the UPMC Vision Institute and UPMC
