Job Details:
Call-only neurosurgery coverage (inpatient)
Beeper call with 30-minute response time
Average 10 20 patients per shift
Facility: Level II trauma center with 396 beds
EMR: Cerner
Support: 1 MA, 1 PA/NP, 2 office staff
Temporary privileges available
Preference for providers open to locum-to-perm

Requirements:
Board Certified in Neurological Surgery
Active Indiana license required (IMLC not accepted)
BLS required
Estimated credentialing: 30 60 days

Skills Required:
General Neurosurgery (Adult required; Pediatric/Neonate preferred)
Trauma Neurosurgery
Preferred (but not required):
o Tumor and neuroendocrine surgery
o Skull base surgery
o Spine surgery (cervical/thoracic/lumbar, with/without instrumentation)
o Endovascular procedures
o Aneurysm clipping, carotid/vertebral surgery
o Peripheral nerve surgery, pain procedures, VP shunt
o Functional & seizure radiosurgery
o ICP monitor placement, ext. traction
o Vent & central line management
