Duration: June 1, 2025 - Ongoing

Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call

Schedule: Onsite Mon-Fri 8:00a - 5:00p; Call: Mon-Fri 5:00p - 8:00a; Weekends: Fri 5:00p - Mon 8:00a

Clinical Details:

• Inpatient setting only


• EMR: Athena and Cerner


• Trauma Level: N/A


• Consultative call coverage for GI emergencies (bleeding, obstruction, urgent scopes)


• Procedures and consults documented via EHR audit trail for validated callback logging

Requirements:

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology


• Active NC license


• BLS


• Clean history

Skills Needed:

• Upper and lower GI endoscopy including biopsy and polypectomy


• ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)


• PEG placement, esophageal dilation, TRUS, and EUS


• GI consults for acute conditions like GI bleeds, liver failure, or obstruction
