**Coverage Need**
- Scheduled clinical hours plus call
- Onsite shift coverage Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with 1-hour lunch
- Call coverage Monday through Friday 5 p.m. - 8 a.m.
- Weekend call begins Saturday 8 a.m. and ends Monday 8 a.m.
- Call type: Beeper
- Call response time: 15 minutes by phone, onsite within 30 minutes
- Call ratio: 1:3
- Call back percentage: 20 percent
- Facility will accept multiple providers

**Position Details**
- Inpatient setting
- Admissions required
- Rounding on both assigned and unassigned patients
- No supervision of APPs or residents required
- Stroke certified facility
- EMRs used: Athena and Cerner
- Temporary privileges available for providers with clean history
- Nearest airport: Charlotte Douglas International
- Lodging available nearby in Hickory, NC

**Submissions Requirements**
- Active NC license required
- Board certified or board eligible
- Clean malpractice and disciplinary history
- BLS required
- IMLC not accepted

**Skill Requirements**
- Endoscopic procedures: upper GI, lower GI, colonoscopy, EGD
- ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
- PEG tube placement
- Biopsies: small bowel, liver
- Esophageal dilation and manometry
- Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
- Endoscopic ultrasound
- Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
