Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner - General Surgery Bariatrics
Located: Cooperstown, NY
Full-Time Position
An established hospital-based General Surgery team in Central New York is seeking a PA or NP to join a collaborative group of 11 Surgeons and 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians, including a Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery subspecialty team.
Position Highlights:
Primarily OR-based role; first assist in complex surgical cases
Some outpatient clinics and call responsibilities
Requires extensive surgical and inpatient hospital experience
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $104,040 $131,664 plus performance-based incentives
Sign-on Bonus: Up to $50,000
Hospital-employed model with full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, paid malpractice, CME time and stipend, and generous PTO
Supportive transition bonus and leadership development pathways
Emphasis on provider well-being, with virtual scribes and in-basket support available
Requirements:
Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
NY State licensure
BLS and DEA certification required
