Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center, located in the heart of Montclair, NJ, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our growing outpatient practice with a strong focus on delivering compassionate, inclusive, and affirming care to LGBTQ+ populations. Mountainside Medical Center is a 365-bed acute care community hospital proudly serving northern New Jersey. A joint venture between Hackensack Meridian Health—one of the state’s most comprehensive health networks—and Ardent Health Services, Mountainside is committed to advancing high-quality, patient-centered care. We are a designated Primary Stroke Center with a Level II Neonatal Nursery, and our clinical offerings include: Cardiology, Oncology, and Advanced Surgical Services, Obstetrics & Women’s Health, Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry, Chronic Kidney Disease Management and a high-volume Emergency Department (40,000+ annual visits). We are also a teaching affiliate of NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, offering a dynamic academic environment with active medical education programs. We are looking for a physician who is passionate about health equity and LGBTQ+ inclusive care and who values working in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

About the Position:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care: preventive, chronic, and acute care
• Deliver gender-affirming care, including hormone therapy (training available)
• Manage PrEP/PEP for HIV prevention and conduct sexual health screenings
• Partner with behavioral health, social work, and specialty providers to support whole-person care
• Promote a safe, affirming, and respectful environment for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies
• Remain up to date with evolving clinical guidelines in LGBTQ+ medicine
• Join a well-established team of 8 experienced primary care physicians
• Monday–Friday schedule with no inpatient or weekend call
• Outpatient-only practice located directly across from the hospital
• Minimal practice call, shared on a 1:8 rotating basis
• Supported by dedicated medical assistants, nursing, and administrative teams

Starting Salary at $225,000 plus Quality Incentive

The hospital is a designated Primary Stroke Center by the NJ State Department of Health and Senior Services and is one of a few community hospitals licensed by the State to perform emergency and elective cardiac angioplasty.
