Job Description
We are seeking a Dentist to provide locum coverage in a dynamic academic and clinical environment. The dentist will supervise residents, perform clinical procedures, and may participate in operating room cases and emergency call coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support residents in the dental clinic
- Provide direct patient care (12–14 patients/day in clinic; 5–6/day in OR)
- Perform extractions, full-mouth restorations, and sedation cases
- Cover potential OR time at the main hospital and surgery center
- Participate in emergency telephone call coverage (attending backup to residents)
- EMR: Open Dental (Clinic) and Cerner (Hospital)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania license (will consider candidates needing licensure)
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- ACLS and PALS certification
- Sedation license, surgical and trauma experience strongly preferred
Credentialing:
- Temp and emergency privileges available
- Estimated timeline: 6–8 weeks
