Rates:
Hourly: $360/hour
24 hour call: $2500 + call back
Call back: $450/hour

Job Details:
Inpatient gastroenterology consult service coverage (inpatient + ED)
Call and clinical hours: 7am 7am, ~7 hours onsite daily
1 week on / 1 week off preferred
Average 9 consults/day
ERCP required; EUS preferred
Approximately 1,576 inpatient scopes annually (6.7% ERCP, 2.2% EUS)
Emergency privileging available
Beeper call with 20 30 min response time
Call during onsite hours is included in hourly rate; night call and call-backs bill separately

Requirements:
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Active California medical license (no exceptions)
Fellowship training in Gastroenterology
Must be able to perform:
o Upper GI endoscopy (including biopsy, variceal injection, fulguration, foreign body removal)
o ERCP (diagnostic & therapeutic)
o PEG placement
o Esophageal dilation & manometry
o Manometry interpretation
o Sigmoidoscopy (flexible & rigid)
o Colonoscopy (with biopsy & polyp excision)
o Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
