Job Details:
Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient
Patients per shift: 12 16
EMR: Epic
Support staff: 1 RN, 3 MAs, 2 NPs/PAs, 3 office staff
Call Type: Beeper, both weekday and weekend call (20 30 min response time)
Clinic shifts typically 8am 5pm with call coverage overnight (5pm 8am)
May provide coverage at an additional affiliated facility (to be confirmed)

Required Skills & Procedures:
Upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder)
PEG tube placement
Esophageal dilation/manometry and interpretation
Small bowel biopsy
Lower GI endoscopy including sigmoidoscopy (flexible) and colonoscopy (biopsy, polyp excision)
Liver biopsy
Preferred: ERCP (diagnostic/therapeutic), Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion

Requirements:
Board Certification: Required
Licensure: Active California medical license (required to be name cleared)
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
Fellowship in Gastroenterology
Must be comfortable working independently
Must be able to begin credentialing 90+ days in advance
