24-hour beeper call coverage only (no in-house requirement)
Anticipated need:
o June 21 24 (dependent on privileging timeline)
o August 16 20
o Ongoing 4 5 days per month
EMR: Epic
Call response time: 20 30 minutes
Patients per shift: 1 7
Setting: Inpatient
RNs available on-site

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency (Pediatrics)
Active California medical license (REQUIRED)
NRP, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Recent inpatient pediatric and newborn experience
Clean file preferred for expedited privileging
Fellowship preferred

Pediatric & newborn intubation (REQUIRED)
Central line placement (REQUIRED)
Needle decompression for pneumothorax (REQUIRED)
Ventilation management (preferred)
UVC (REQUIRED), UAC (preferred)
Chest tube insertion (preferred)
Lumbar puncture (preferred)
EKG interpretation (REQUIRED)
Arterial lines, suturing minor lacerations (preferred)
