Schedule: 24-hour call (7 AM 7 AM), Need is for approx. 15 days/month.

Job Details:
Inpatient-only, CALL ONLY position
24-hour beeper call coverage
Responsible for:
o Attending all deliveries, including C-sections
o Rounding on newborns and pediatric inpatients
o Performing ED consults and pediatric admissions
o Managing patient transfers
Department size: 6 pediatric beds
EMR: Athena & Meditech

Requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3 5 years of residency) Required
PALS Required
Active Virginia license or willingness to obtain
Must be eligible for emergency privileges
Must be comfortable with:
o UVC placement
o Attending high-risk deliveries
o Common pediatric procedures (lumbar puncture, intubation, chest tube insertion, etc.)
Clean background preferred for expedited credentialing
