Why This Role?

• Call-only coverage at a Children's Hospital with NICU


• Restricted 24-hour in-house call with post-call day provided


• Support from Maternal Fetal Medicine and GYN Oncology

Duration: ASAP - Ongoing

Coverage Type: Call Only

Schedule: 6 call shifts per month; 24-hour in-house OB call including weekends (Friday and Sunday)

Clinical Details:

• Inpatient only


• Admissions required


• 5-10 patients seen per shift


• 3-5 admissions per shift


• GYN emergencies during call must be managed


• Facility is a Level 2 trauma center with NICU


• Support staff includes 4 RNs, 7 MAs, 4 APPs, and 5 office staff


• EMR: Cerner

Requirements:

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in OB/GYN


• BLS


• PALS


• Clean history

Skills Needed:

• Low and high-risk pregnancy care


• FHR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)


• OB ultrasound (Level I and II), amniocentesis


• Vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including breech, VBACs, and multiple births


• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations


• Surgical GYN: open and laparoscopic procedures (e.g., ectopic, cystectomy, LOA)


• Circumcisions
