**Why This Role?**
- Coverage needed due to retirement of permanent pathologist
- Hospital-based pathology position with Epic Beaker EMR
- CLIA, CAP, and AABB certified lab
- Minimum 6-month assignment starting July 1, 2025
- Shared responsibilities with another pathologist already on-site
- Strong histotech support (6 technologists) and established lab systems

**Duration**: July 1, 2025 - Minimum 6 months
**Coverage Type**: Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with Call
**Schedule/Coverage Need**:
- Monday - Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:30pm
- Call: Rotating every two weeks, includes weeknights and weekends

**Opportunity Highlights**:
- Approx. 10-15 cases/day per pathologist
- Responsibilities include grossing (alternated days), rare frozen section calls, and clinical specimen review
- On-call duties include blood bank, organ procurement (rare), and frozen sections
- 1,800 billables/day in the clinical lab
- Equipment includes Leica/Thermo cryostats, Zeiss microscopes, Bond IHC
- Will facility accept multiple providers: Yes
- Admissions required: No

**Requirements**:
- Board certification/eligibility: Yes
- Active state license: Yes (GA)
- BLS required
- Clean history

- Surgical pathology
- GI and GU pathology
- Neuropathology
- Hematopathology (bone marrow, lymph nodes)
- Aspiration/biopsy and interpretation of bone marrow
- Cytology (non-GYN only)
