**Part Time Position**
We are seeking a Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Provider to join our team as the Medical Director for Home Care and Hospice. This part-time role (0.3 FTE) will be responsible for the direction and coordination of medical care within the hospice program, as well as for developing and maintaining medical policies and practices related to hospice care. The Medical Director will serve as a consultant and advisor to the hospice program, providing oversight while the majority of direct patient care is handled by Nurse Practitioners employed by the hospice.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership in the direction and coordination of Hospice medical care.
Develop and uphold medical guidelines as related to Hospice care.
Serve as a consultant and advisor to the Hospice program.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal standards in hospice practices.
Participate in after-hours call coverage for consultation with hospice and home care nurses on patient care and symptom management. Call coverage will not exceed one weekend per month, and weekly call duties will not exceed one week per month.
Candidate Requirements:
Must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
Must be licensed in the state of Indiana (Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is preferred).
Knowledge of the regulatory and legal landscape of Hospice practices and operations.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
