Family Medicine Opportunity in AK - No call or weekends Low Volume

We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity starting Fall 2025 and ongoing. This is a great opportunity to practice in a well-supported, patient-centered environment while enjoying the natural beauty of Alaska's peninsula.

Position Details:

• Specialty: Family Medicine
• Duration: 3–6 month minimum commitment, with the option to extend
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Open to 4x10s
  • Optional weekend rotation (Saturday only, 8 AM – 5 PM)
• Patient Volume: 12–15 patients per day
• Appointment Length: 30 minutes
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements:

• Must have an active Alaska medical license
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine

Staffing & Support:

• Work alongside a small, close-knit team:
  • 1 DO, 1 PA, 1 NP currently on staff
• Fully staffed with 6 total providers

Travel & Housing:

• Travel and lodging covered
• Housing available across the street from the clinic
• Vehicle provided

At the wellness center, medical treatment is delivered by teams made up of Physicians, NP/PA’s, MA;s and case managers. Each patient receives their own care team along with support from out wellness department which offers many additional services. Our primary care services are accessible to all Alaska Native and American Indian people.
