Description:

The Department of Medicine seeks the next Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition who will elevate the Division to the highest national and international levels and lead the Division into the next sustained era of accomplishment. Growing a transformational research program, developing the next generation of academic leaders, and expansion in clinical services are the key ingredients to the continued growth and success of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.


The incoming Chief will assume the reins of a top Medicine Division, which is comprised of master clinicians, researchers, and educators. S/he has the opportunity to leverage the extensive scientific and technological resources available within Department of Medicine, University of Pittsburgh and UPMC. The new Chief will set a course destined to transform the Division onto an entirely different level and build upon the accomplishments of their predecessors.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree with board certification in Gastroenterology.
  • Proven leadership experience in an academic or clinical setting.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
