Baystate Health, the only academic center and tertiary care provider in western MA and home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate, is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician to join our OB Hospitalist team at Baystate Medical Center.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: 

  • Our OB/GYN team at Baystate Medical Center includes dedicated physicians, sub-specialist support, CNMs, Labor and Delivery nurses, and PCTs.
  • The OB Hospitalist delivers inpatient obstetrical care on an emergency and routine basis and provides clinical supervision of the OB triage unit, staffed 24/7 by experienced Certified Nurse Midwives. The department handles roughly 4,200 deliveries annually, with a high proportion of high-risk pregnancies and a level 3 NICU.
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including 12- and 24-hour shifts. Inpatient only. No call.
  • Practice in an academic environment consisting of 24 OB/GYN residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers. Faculty appointment to UMASS Medical School-Baystate.

Qualifications: Qualified applicants will be board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Comfortable with complicated operative deliveries and maternal complications of gestation, and have experience working with residents, Maternal Fetal Medicine consultants, and Certified Nurse Midwives.
