• 12-hour ED shifts from 5 am - 9 pm and 5 pm - 3 am
• 4 - 5 patients per shift
• Mixed ED and hospital coverage
• ED procedures: suturing, splints, moderate sedation, intubations
• Foreign body removal and I&Ds required
• All ages treated -- pediatric cases rare
• Admissions and discharge responsibilities
