Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a locum Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to provide overnight ICU coverage in Maryland. You’ll join a collaborative environment supported by in-house anesthesia (24/7) and Tele-ICU physicians. This is an 18-bed open ICU within a Level III Trauma Center, caring for a broad range of critically ill patients including post-operative cardiovascular, DKA, pneumonia, sepsis, and trauma cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage ICU patients independently overnight
- Admit patients and write progress notes
- Round with nursing and surgical teams
- Interpret labs and imaging; initiate appropriate orders
- Coordinate patient transfers when needed
Requirements:
- License: Active Maryland CRNP license (or IMLC eligible)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in critical care
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA, and Maryland CDS
- Board Status: Board Certified or Eligible
