Job Description
Locums - Cardiothoracic Surgery APP - Clinic + Call - Northern MI
Why This Role?
- Inpatient-only opportunity with flexible on-call hours
- Work closely with surgical team on rounding and OR support
- Reasonable volume with 24/7 backup and no clinic duties
Duration: June 27, 2025 - August 1, 2025
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
Schedule: 6:00a-3:00p onsite, then on-call remainder of 24 hours
Clinical Details:
- ICU-based hospital rounding and surgical support
- No clinic responsibilities
- Daily responsibilities end when work is complete, usually by mid-afternoon
- Providers take first call overnight with 24/7 physician backup
Requirements:
- Board Certified
- Active MI license
- Vein harvesting experience
- COVID vaccination
- Clean history
Skills Needed:
- Vein harvesting in cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- First assist in the OR
- Hospital-based rounding including ICU patients
- Handling first call responsibilities during on-call shifts
