A Level 4 trauma facility is seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon for locum tenens coverage. This assignment includes both clinical hours and 1:3 beeper call coverage, with an average of 5 patients seen and 2 admissions during call periods. The provider will be expected to manage a wide range of general surgical cases.

**Shift Details:**
- Schedule: TBD based on site needs
- Call Ratio: 1:3
- Call Type: Beeper
- Response Time: 30 minutes
- Phone Consults: 0-5
- Callbacks: ~10%

**Practice Details:**
- Procedures: Broad spectrum general surgery including laparoscopic, GI endoscopy (upper and lower), minor orthopedics, breast, vascular, and pediatric surgeries - all preferred
- Support Staff: 1 MA, 1 office staff
- Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
- EMR: Athena & Meditech
- Privileges Required: Yes (no temporary privileges available)
- Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 days

**Requirements**
- Stroke Certification: Yes
- Admissions Required: Yes
- Board Certification: Required
- Licensure: Active Oklahoma license only
- Medicaid Enrollment in Oklahoma: Required
- Other Certifications (ACLS, BLS, ATLS, etc.): Not required for this role

**Preferred Clinical Skills:**
- General Surgery (Adult, Pediatric, Neonate)
- Laparoscopic: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty, Nissen Fundoplication
- Breast, Head/Neck, and GI Surgery
- OB/GYN Procedures: C-section, D&C, Hysterectomy
- Endoscopy: Upper, Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy
- Central Line, Chest Tube Insertion, Ventilation Management
- Minor Vascular and Plastic Surgery
- Pediatric Surgery (Artesias, Hernias, PDA ligation, etc.)
