Locums - NP General Surgery - Clinic + Call - Mason City, IA
Why This Role?
- High-volume surgical hub serving 16 counties
- Opportunity to first assist in OR and manage trauma call
- Collaborative team environment with teaching exposure
Start Date: July 2025
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
Schedule: 14 shifts per 28 days; 24-hour shifts (12 on-site, 12 on-call)
Clinical Details:
- Responsibilities include rounding, consults, OR, clinic follow-up
- Daily census driven by inpatient/ED consults (avg census 160)
- Full imaging, lab, and pharmacy support onsite
- EMR: Epic
Requirements:
- Board Certified
- Active IA license or IMLC
- Experience in General/Trauma Surgery preferred
Skills Needed:
- First Assist in OR (laparoscopic, open, robotic)
- Endoscopy procedures
- Inpatient/ED surgical consults and follow-ups
- Trauma and general surgery call coverage
