Locums - PA - Orthopedic Surgery - Clinic + Call - Mason City, IA
Why This Role?
- 9 multi-week assignments through end of 2025
- Balanced mix of inpatient consults, clinic, and OR
- Opportunity to assist with joint replacement, fracture care, and sports injuries
Duration: July 2025 - January 2026
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a 5p), weeknight call, and 24-hour weekend call
Clinical Details:
- Rounding on post-op patients, ED/inpatient consults, clinic follow-up
- Procedures include joint replacement, fracture care, and surgical assists
- EMR: GE Centricity (clinic), Epic (hospital)
- Facility supports teaching and accepts new grads
- Hub hospital serving 200,000+ residents across 16 counties
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Eligible
- Active IA license or IMLC
- Clean history
Skills Needed:
- First assist in OR for orthopedic cases
- Management of trauma injuries and sports medicine conditions
- Clinic follow-up, casting, suturing, and minor procedures
