Locums - PA General Surgery - 24Hr Shifts + Call - Mason City, IA
Why This Role?
- Large regional medical center serving 200,000+ population
- Mix of inpatient consults, OR, and clinic follow-up
- Robust clinical team with EMR support and onsite imaging
Start Date: July 2025
Coverage Type: 24hr Shifts (12 onsite, 12 call)
Schedule: 14 shifts per 28-day period, including weekends as needed
Clinical Details:
- First assist in OR, trauma coverage, consults, follow-up
- Average hospital census: 160 patients/day
- EMR: Epic
- Imaging, lab, and pharmacy on site
- 2 exam rooms + 2 procedure rooms per provider
Requirements:
- Board Certified PA
- Active IA license or IMLC
- Clean history
Key Responsibilities:
- First Assist (laparoscopic, open, robotic cases)
- Clinic consults and follow-ups
- Endoscopy assistance
- Trauma and general surgery call
