Job Description
Locums - Cardiology APP (NP/PA) - Inpatient + Outpatient - Springfield, MO
Why This Role?
- Full-spectrum cardiology exposure including general, interventional, heart failure, and EP
- Level 1 trauma center with strong subspecialty support
- Flexible scheduling - 10+ shifts/month preferred
Duration: ASAP - Ongoing
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + In-House Call
Schedule: Clinic 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Hospital 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Call: In-house weekdays (4-5/month), 1 weekend/month
Clinical Details:
- Setting: Inpatient rounding, consults, and outpatient clinic
- Clinic volume: ~19 patients/day
- Cardiac stress testing available: Nuclear, Echo, Treadmill (APPs do not perform)
- Cardiology consult service only no direct admissions
- Telehealth available during inclement weather
- EMR: Epic
Requirements:
- Board Certified NP or PA
- Active MO license or IMLC
- Certified in ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
- Cardiology experience required
Skills Needed:
- Inpatient rounding and consults on cardiac ICU and general cardiac floors
- Evaluation of ER and hospital consults
- Post-procedure follow-up (HF, AMI, EP discharge)
- Familiarity with cardiac stress testing modalities and echocardiography
