Why This Role?

• Consistent monthly coverage needs starting July 2025


• Level 3 Trauma Center with strong OR support


• Hospital-based general surgery with well-trained team

Duration: Starting July 2025 - Ongoing

Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call Coverage

Schedule: July 2-7, July 18-22, August 7-17, September 5-14, October 4-7, and 5-7 days/month ongoing

Clinical Details:

• Hospital-based general surgery and Level 3 trauma call


• Average 10 surgical cases per day


• Referrals may come from APPs in office setting


• EMR: Epic


• 10 operating rooms with experienced OR staff skilled in robotic and general procedures


• Primary responsibility is inpatient surgical and consult coverage


• Adult patients primarily; pediatric cases referred elsewhere

Requirements:

• Board Certified in General Surgery


• Active OH license


• ACLS


• BLS


• ATLS


• Clean history


• Available for all July dates listed


• Recent case logs from the past 12 months

Skills Needed:

• General surgery including trauma and emergency procedures


• Cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, appendectomy, bowel resections


• Management of perforations or internal lacerations


• Central line, chest tube, PA catheter, and vascular access placement
