Locums - OBGYN - Call Only - Plainview, TX
Why This Role?
- Long-term vacancy with ongoing monthly call needs
- Flexible coverage options (8-10 shifts/month)
- Supportive L&D hospital staff and nursing team
Duration: August 1, 2025 - Ongoing
Coverage Type: Call Only
Schedule: 7a-7a in-house beeper call shifts; 30-minute response time required
Clinical Details:
- Trauma Level 4 facility
- Average 2 patients per shift
- Inpatient-only setting
- EMR: Epic
- Support staff: 4 RNs in Labor & Delivery
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OBGYN
- Active TX license
- ACLS
- BLS
- Clean history
Skills Needed:
- Routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal, low forceps, C-sections, breech, multiples, abruptions)
- Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)
- Open and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery (tubal ligation, ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy)
