Experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner - Colorado Ski Town

The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides collaborative care to adult patients under the direction of a member of the medical staff and in accordance with treatment plans, standards of care, and professional codes of ethics. This role focuses on promoting the health potential of the whole person while ensuring optimal care through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
The NP or PA should possess strong leadership skills, demonstrating an ability to delegate effectively and direct staff in the delivery of care. They are accountable for resource utilization, fostering positive interpersonal relationships, and maintaining sensitivity to the needs of patients, families, and coworkers. Personal commitment to the organizations mission and shared values is essential.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments.
Ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Proactively identify complications and communicate findings.
Participate in outpatient clinic operations.
Conduct inpatient rounding and consultations.
Supervise stress testing (echo, exercise, nuclear, and dobutamine).
Oversee Tilt Table testing procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
At least two years of experience working as an NP or PA in a cardiology-related field.
Master's degree in nursing or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Unrestricted APN or PA License in Colorado (DORA).
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), with cards in-hand before the start date.
