Job Description

Help lead a high-performing emergency medicine team providing clinical excellence to the Texas panhandle and the tristate area! BSA Health System is seeking a dynamic and experienced assistant facility medical director (AFMD) to help guide its emergency medicine (EM) team in delivering exceptional care. This full-time role offers a unique blend of leadership and clinical practice at a level III trauma center with exciting growth opportunities.

Opportunity Overview:
  • 60 hours of physician coverage and 40 hours of APC coverage daily within this level III trauma center.
  • Annual volume of 54,000 per year.
  • 49 ED beds with a 31% admission rate and high acuity.
  • Access to the most advanced laboratory in the region with a state of the art ED and hospital facilities.
  • Extensive specialty back up in place, which includes most pediatric specialties as well as scribes at no cost to the physicians.
  • EPIC as the EMR. 
  • Required to be board certified/eligible ABEM.
